➤ Advocates for fair pregnancy care say new anti-bias training (required for license renewal) starting July 1 could help address rising racial disparities in maternal outcomes in Rockford. Experts expect the state mandate to lead to broader improvements in maternity care. WIFR
➤ OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center welcomed Rockford’s first baby of 2026, baby Naiaree, born at 12:50 a.m. Thursday at 6lb. 4.5oz and measuring 19 inches long. The OB team prepared themed baskets & special onesies for babies born this year. WIFR
