- ➤ Pilot Company celebrated the remodeled Flying J travel center in South Beloit by donating $10,000 to Hononegah Community High School and Prairie Hill CUSD 133 to support robotics and playground updates — the center now features an expanded kitchen, new deli area, and upgraded facilities. WIFR
- ➤ The 8-year-old male cat Seemore is available for adoption at Winnebago County Animal Services on N. Main St. His fee is half-priced for Golden Whiskers Club members. WIFR
- ➤ Frank Manzullo, a longtime Rockford Township trustee and former owner of Manzullo's Famous Italian Restaurant, died on Feb. 28 while on vacation at age (83). A funeral mass is planned for March 16 at St. Rita Catholic Church, with burial at New Milford Cemetery. Rockford Register Star
- ➤ Families can take photos with the Easter Bunny at CherryVale Mall starting March 11. Daily photo hours run from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday & pet photo sessions are offered on Mondays for leashed pets. Rockford Register Star

- ➤ GE Aerospace announced on Monday it will invest $2 million in its Rockford site as part of a $1 billion plan to upgrade U.S. manufacturing facilities in 2026 & hire 5,000 workers nationwide. The investment will boost production & support defense engine manufacturing. WIFR

- ➤ Rockford Restaurant Week set records with 82 restaurants serving prix-fixe menus and bundled meal deals while awarding winners for best experience, main course, dessert, cocktail, and legacy honors.
