- ➤ At 5:10 a.m. on Sunday, Rockford Fire responded to a fully involved attached garage fire on the 3900 block of Modesto Dr.—rescuing a small dog from the burning home that displaced a family of three, caused about $80,000 in damage, and marked the second dog rescue in 12 hours while the American Red Cross provided assistance as an investigation continues. - ➤ Early Sunday at 5:10 a.m., the Rockford Fire Department responded to a fire at 3827 Modesto Drive that broke out in an attached garage, leaving a family of three without a home and rescuing a small dog that was taken to a local veterinary clinic for emergency treatment—loss is estimated at $80,000.
