- ➤ Rockford police said a man died after being hit by a car on N. 2nd Street at Auburn last night — all northbound lanes were closed before the road reopened, and the investigation is ongoing. WIFR

- ➤ Rockford police said on April 19th that a suspect shot a K-9 during a traffic stop on E. State Street when he tried to flee on foot — the K-9 was taken to an emergency vet and the suspect is in custody. WIFR
- ➤ On April 17 at around 7:30 a.m., Rockford police arrested Sean Fox, 49, on charges of domestic battery causing bodily harm and criminal property damage when he punched a woman four times in the head and broke household items during an argument on the 500 block of North 2nd Street. WTVO
