Rockford Clay Fest is set to run Saturday, June 27 at Pioneer Hall - 123 S.
Madison Street from noon to 6 p.m. Organized by Inferno Clay Studio, the free event will offer ceramic booths, artist demos and a student exhibition featuring local schools.

A $25,000 America in Bloom grant will accelerate the conversion of the former Elliot Golf Course into a native prairie, oak savanna and wetland habitat at Wild Roots Nature Center at Prairie's Edge in Cherry Valley.
The restoration project aims to create a wildlife habitat, outdoor classroom, and community space.
