- ➤ Robert VanDyke, 44, from Oregon was arrested Monday night around 8:25 p.m. in the 1000 block of S. 2nd Street on warrants for trespassing, possession of methamphetamine—and a DUI in Lee County—and he is now held in Ogle County Jail pending his pretrial detention hearing. WTVO

- ➤ Illinois will offer a tax amnesty program from October 1 until mid-November that will add no penalties to back taxes due from June 30, 2018 to July 1, 2024—even taxes already in collection; a similar program in 2019 collected nearly $360 million. WTVO
